Der Code der Gedanken: Information, Farbe und Materie
Abstraktion durch Schrift
Ein Buchstabe ist eine reine Abstraktion – ein Code, der mit wenigen Symbolen komplexe Sprachen generiert. Eine Kette dieser Zeichen wird erst durch Bedeutung zum Text. Das Wort TISCH etwa besteht aus fünf abstrakten Zeichen, die sofort eine gemeinsame Realität erschaffen. Information fungiert hier als unsichtbarer Baustoff: Die Idee eines Objekts muss existieren, bevor es materiell werden kann.
Farbe als Information
Parallel zum präzisen Code der Sprache existiert das Spektrum der Farbe. Während Schrift logisch aufgebaut ist, wirkt Farbe direkt und emotional. Auch sie ist ein Informationsträger, der ohne Grammatik verstanden wird. Die Bedeutung von Farben ist oft kulturell erlernt (wie das Rot einer Ampel), doch ihre Wirkung ist unmittelbar. Farbe ist Information in ihrer intuitivsten Form.
Die Synthese
In dieser Werkgruppe werden beide Systeme – der logische Code des Textes und die emotionale Sprache der Farbe – verknüpft. Ein Algorithmus ordnet jedem Buchstaben eine spezifische Farbe zu. Diese Zuweisung ist kein Zufall, sondern leitet sich aus dem Kontext und der Bedeutung des zugrundeliegenden Textes ab. Ziel ist ein hybrider Raum, in dem Text und Farbe gleichberechtigte Partner sind.
Der Würfel
Das zentrale Element dieser Synthese ist der Würfel. Er dient als physisches Gefäß für einen Buchstaben und seine korrespondierende Farbe. In der Anordnung vieler Würfel entsteht ein dynamisches Feld.
Obwohl Buchstaben und Farben einer festen Logik folgen, erschafft ihr Zusammenspiel ein neues Ganzes. Der Text bleibt lesbar, wird aber durch die Farbe visuell erweitert. Das Werk spricht den Betrachter auf zwei Ebenen gleichzeitig an: Es fordert den Intellekt zur Entschlüsselung auf und nutzt die unmittelbare Kraft des farbigen Lichts.

The code of thoughts: information, colour and matter
Abstraction through writing
A letter is pure abstraction – a code that generates complex languages with just a few symbols. A chain of these characters only becomes text through meaning. The word TABLE, for example, consists of five abstract characters that immediately create a shared reality. Information functions here as an invisible building material: the idea of an object must exist before it can become material.
Colour as information
Parallel to the precise code of language exists the spectrum of colour. While writing is logically structured, colour has a direct and emotional effect. It too is a carrier of information that is understood without grammar. The meaning of colours is often culturally learned (such as the red of a traffic light), but their effect is immediate. Colour is information in its most intuitive form.
The synthesis
In this group of works, both systems – the logical code of text and the emotional language of colour – are linked. An algorithm assigns a specific colour to each letter. This assignment is not random, but is derived from the context and meaning of the underlying text. The aim is to create a hybrid space in which text and colour are equal partners.
The cube
The central element of this synthesis is the cube. It serves as a physical vessel for a letter and its corresponding colour. The arrangement of many cubes creates a dynamic field. Although letters and colours follow a fixed logic, their interaction creates a new whole. The text remains legible, but is visually enhanced by the colour. The work appeals to the viewer on two levels simultaneously: it challenges the intellect to decipher it and utilises the immediate power of coloured light. An invitation to experience reading and seeing in a new way.
