The PDF consists of:
a picture with your text,
an image that represents the letters of the text in colours,
a picture that shows the words as color bars and
an image that represents the average color of an entire line.
The PDF document can then be printed as large as you want, just as you like...

Der Ausgangspunkt dieser Arbeit ist der wieder zunehmende Erfolg der demagogischen Rede im Alltag.
Ich wollte herausfinden, ob eine Hetzrede - übersetzt in Farbfelder - eine andere Ästethik, ein anderes Aussehen hat, als ein Gedicht oder ein Alltagstext.
Mit der Entstehung der Massengesellschaft sind Themen wie etwa „Masse und Macht“, „Sprache und Beeinflussung“ oder „politische Vernunft und Massenverhalten“ Begleiter unserer Zeit geworden.
Es lag daher für mich nahe, mich mit der Visualisierung von Sprache, von Reden, von Texten zu befassen. Texte werden damit - jenseits jeder moralischen Wertung - farblich aufgelöst.
Das Ergebnis ist ernüchternd: Redetexte von Goebbels unterscheiden sich nicht von den Texten eines Rilke.
Im Gegenteil: manche Lyrik erinnert an die Komplexität der Zwölftonmusik und manche Agitationsrede erscheint farblich so weich, wie ein Kissen.
Offensichtlich liegt die Frage, ob ein demagogischer Text wirkt oder nicht, beim Resonanzkörper der Zuhörenden. Wenn dieser Resonanzkörper nicht mitschwingt, bleibt die Agitation stumm....

Thoughts behind
The starting point of this work was the increasing success of the demagogic speech in everyday life.
I wanted to find out whether a hate speech - translated into color fields - has a different aesthetics, than a poem or a common text.
The rise of mass-made society topics such as “mass and power”, “language and manipulation” or “political reason and mass behavior” have become daily companions.
As a result, it stood to reason to work on visualising language, speeches and texts.
Texts are thereby dissolved in color, beyond any moral evaluation.
The result was disillusioning: Goebbels’s speeches did not differ from texts written by Rilke. Quite the contrary: some poetry was reminiscent of the complexity of twelve-note compositions and the colours of some agitation speeches appeared as soft as cushions.
Apparently, the question whether a demagogic text has an impact lies with its resonance with the listeners. If this sound box does not resonate, the agitation stays silent.
